BIOGRAPHY
American actor Yuji Okumoto began his acting career in theater, being involved with several theater companies. His first film role was in the Val Kimer-starring comedy film Real Genius (1985) as Fenton. The following year, Okumoto played the venomous and always smiling Chozen Toguchi in The Karate Kid, Part 2 (1986). From this moment on, the actor began to choose more intimidating roles in films, mainly as a villain, such as in Pearl Harbor (2001), where he played a Japanese pilot. He also played a Korean character, Shu Kai Kim, in the film True Believer (1989) alongside James Woods and Robert Downey Jr. He also starred alongside Ken Watanabe in Christopher Nolan’s thriller Inception (2010). It was recently announced that Okumoto will reprise his role as Chozen Toguchi in season 3 of the popular series Cobra Kai , which will be released on January 8, 2021 on Netflix.
