Corey Wert Obituary, Death – Corey C. Andrew, who was 24 years old and lived in Rockford, passed away in the Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater on the 25th of August, 2023. His birthday is February 4, 1999, and he was born in Decatur, Indiana. Lisa and Jody Haller, his mother and stepfather, respectively, are still living in Ohio City.
In addition, he is survived by his fiancee Hannah Pawelski of Rockford, his daughter Aurora Andrew, his siblings Taya (Michael) Deardoff and Angel Haller (Noah Baldwin) of Van Wert, his grandparents Pam and John Stapleton of Rockford, his uncle Aaron (Tori) Stapleton, his nieces and nephews Castalia, Caspian, and Jaden, and his cousins Damon and Austin Stapleton. His aunt and uncle also survive.
His great grandmother, Naomi Counterman, passed away before him. She was his immediate predecessor in death. Corey was known as a “Gentle Giant” throughout his time at Parkway High School, from which he graduated in 2017. He had a special place in his heart for children, but he was beloved by all. He loved to make people laugh and was especially fond of playing with his nieces, nephews, and his infant daughter, Aurora.
One of their favorite things to do was play video games. He amassed quite the collection of wolf miniatures. Playing basketball and going for drives were two of his favorite things to do in his spare time. Funeral services were kept private out of respect for the family.
